Question type: Maintenance & Repair

These problems seem to only take place right after
refueling and it seems like it only happens  for a day or so
until I refuel again and that is usually the only time it's hard
to start when the engine is warm! I recently installed a
webber carburetor and eliminated most of the vacuum
hoses and emissions system that aren't needed

" I recently installed a webber carburetor and eliminated most of the vacuum hoses and emissions system that aren't needed" --- that might account for the poor starting and MPG's.

also try the timing. mine wouldnt start right after being warmed up, and when we changed the timing, everything worked fine.

It's proly mostly the timing needs retarded or advanced some for the stating hard when warm part. Most likely u will want to go backwords on the timing. It should only get about 22 mp anyway but the webber carb will proly get less mph but with more power.
