depends on how abused it is, Plowing is hard on a truck. You can but a low mileage plow, then the tranny goes.... Plowing is VERY hard on any auto, they very rarely go faster than 15-20 if it was a yard truck. Plows weigh alot, and all that weight takes its toll on the front end, Snow weighs alot, plowing the snow take a lot of life out of any plow truck, Trannys, and front steering and suspension parts are VERY prone to be in need of replacement, And lastly they are expensive, normally most people/companies/buiness wont sell there plow truck because of it replacement cost, that is unless it has a big problem. If you like this truck, I would take it to a shop of your choice and get it checked out front to back, and let your mechanic know that it was a plow truck, that way he will really look over the known problem areas of plow trucks. But to answer your question (without knowing what the body/drivetrain/suspension is like) I would have to say between 800-1500. These are heavy trucks and they are not know for their fuel mileage. Does it have the 318 or 340 or 360? is it and auto or is it a standard. An friend of a friend has one that he pulled out the gas drivetrain and put a diesel in it (that cost a lot to do, but he says it is the truck he wished that Dodge built) So I would recommend that you take it to your mechanic and have him take a real good LONG look at it, afterall why would someone sell a plow that cost wat too much to replace? If it a good truck and you like the truck (the ramcharger is a nice truck (just watch for rust), enjoy it, Best of luck, Hope this helps (sorry about the long response).
