Dodge Dakota starts but will chug and lose power after a few seconds

Asked by tuckert Oct 15, 2015 at 08:54 PM about the 2007 Dodge Dakota

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dodge Dakota 2007 starts but will chug and lose power after a few seconds. It
doesn't happen every time I drive it but it happened today. I waited for 20
minutes and then tried it again and the truck started. Had to go to the store
and when I tried to start it up it did the same thing. The check engine light
came on after it happened today.
