07 Dodge Magnum key won't turn all the way. I put the key in the ignition and it turns to on but will not turn past. Steering is not locked and battery shows 13.4 volts. Any ideas?

Went to start car at store and key wouldn't turn past ON.  Battery shows 13.4 volts, lights, radio, ac etc... all come on.  Lightening bolt is on dash. ETC or something??  No codes from ON=OFF sequence show.  Any thoughts?

Sounds like an ignition switch to me. Try a little bit of dry lune like graphite and see if that lossens things up. I doubt its the shifter I know mine wont even release the key if its not fully in park. Gotta love the magnums they are the cars that keep on giving... headaches that is.

Just solved my issue with key rotation - used to go to accessory position by itself when parked - by replacing the Ignition Switch Actuator Pin. No need to replace the entire ignition assembly. https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-64894-924-739.aspx
