you need bulbs, headlight assemblies (the reflective portion as well as the lens composition is different for HID), and ballasts. IMHO its less headache and hundreds of dollars cheaper to keep the halogens.

not so,you can change the bulbs without all that other junk that know it all posted,he is a poser.
Explain to everyone here how you can use HID lights without a ballast? Explain how you can aim the diffused light that an HID produces using a halogen lens? And further more explain how that halogen lens will not melt/catch fire from the additional heat produced. Please Please Please explain.
Still waiting on an explanation as to how he can use HIDs without the supporting hardware. And a pic of you in the Shelby KR.
I am using H1(90/100) lights on my corolla all I changed was my fuses from 10A to 15A
