I just purchased a 2007 Unlimited X 4x2, it has 16" wheels (17" optional). My question is, can I put on 18" wheels? The Sahara and Rubicon are available with that size

Yes the wheels should fit, but since you just purchased it call your dealer and ask to be sure. Can't help to be 100% sure before you start the process of changing the tires.
