If it is very clean, with no rust, very nice paint, excellent condition wood grain, interior that has perfect seats, dash, carpets, headliner, and if mechanically it is excellent shape, good to drive across country, it is worth $12k+ If it has been sitting a long time 2+ years, that means it will need some mechanical refurbishing and will bring the value down to about $10k. If it is just in "good" in stead of "excellent" condition, you are looking at somewhere around $6-$8k, which means some rock chips in the paint, a few normal wear creases in the seats or a stain in the carpets, or a missing wheel center cap, maybe a scratch in the wood paneling. People that collect these want these in "pristine" condition so the condition is everything to them. A scratch in the paint or rock chip is significant to them and depreciates the value very quickly. Then people looking to drive them every day typically buy ones in the $6-$8k range which will be "good" condition that dont need any work but may have a bit of wear on seats, carpets, and a few dings or scratches. Ad is a scam, but a car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. There are places out there asking $50k + for these in pretty nice condition-and people pay it. Wait awhile until the fad du jour moves on to something else and then snap one up. There will always be some clown who paid top dollar for one who'll hate it because it doesn't drive like the X5 they got rid of because it wasn't cool anymore.
