Vin & Date info

Asked by GreenBlade Jan 03, 2009 at 04:26 PM about the 1970 Jeep Wagoneer

Question type: General

I have a jeep wagoneer, there is a Manufacturing date that says Nov 1969 on the inside drivers door. Is this the actuall year model or could it be a 1970? Also where can I find information on how to read the VIN #? I've looked around some online and local parts stores to find OEM body, interior, and engine parts to no avail.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Normally a car built after august in any year was the next model year, so in your case yes it's a 70, just google vin breakdown for the make model and year, parts however will be hard to find especially jeep. good luck
