Can't get 66 vw bug to start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It was running. Sat for about a month and
wouldn't start. Fuel filter was change and
lines are clear but pump wouldn't fill filter so
I change the pump. Had to get alternator
style and change push rod. Still doesn't
pump fuel. Are my lines in pump
backwards?  Don't know what to do next
