without pictures, details, or knowing what's been done to the car no body can tell ya if the price is to high.

you need to get in with a local club or serious vw gear head and take a good hard look at the car. pick up a copy of the idiot guide by john muir and start researching. it maybe worth it, it may not be worth it just be an informed consummer.
