Question type: Shopping & Pricing

We have a 1968 beetle that was "totaled" by a small dent in the rear panels on the driver's side.  The insurance is going to decide how much the bug is worth.  How do I know if they are being fair?

if no more damage than that ,see what they offer ,buy the car back and have it fixed, the year 68 modle is why they totaled it.

Yes, I would not have kept collision/comprehensive on a vehicle that old, they pretty much total them out completely that way. Suggest looking for comps on Hemmings Motor News, Ebay, etc. Find some with similar mileage and condition to yours and present these. Also any receipts you have for money spent restoring the car, etc., should come into play.

It's the other person's insurance that decided it was totaled. Thank you for the specific sites to check!
