'68 Beetle upholstrey

Asked by Beckerauto Jun 26, 2008 at 12:37 PM about the 1968 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: General

Interested in knowing if a '68 Beetle sold new in the USA could have been equiped with cloth upholstery. Research info indicates cloth was standard with leatherette as optional. I am having difficulty finding out if any cars imported in '68 had cloth or if the optional vinyl was standard issue for cars imported by VOA. Also does anyone have a picture of a '68 with black and white wheels as indicated in the literature as being standard? I only seem to find picture of cars with wheel paint body color. Thanks!

Believe cloth was possible esp. if customer requested. Don't have any pics for you though, sorry.
