WIthout pictures, a very detailed description, or seeing the car, nobody can give u a price. Could be anywhere between $500 to $10,000. The 1968 is not a very popular car. Price will be lower than a 67 or 69. They make good cars, but have left over parts from the 67 and newer styling of the 69. You really need to do some research
the 68 is ok it doesnt have irs but its just about the same as all the older ones exept new bumpers prices are high for good ones 7 to 10 is not out of the question
Well, no. the 68 was the first year of the fat chick body. It also was the last year for the swingaxle transaxle. So you get the new body with old rear suspension. Not very good. Also the transaxle was a one year only model that nobody in the bug crowd wants, only bus guys do. The 68 is almost identical to the 69 (but not quite) except for rear suspension. So why go 68? It was a bastard year. No major changes, or advancements. First year for 4 lug brakes (on bug), which sucks. Only swingaxle bug that was 4 lug in the US. The only people that pay decent money for 68's are looking for completely original cars for collections. As for drivers, go 69 our newer if you want a fat chick, 66 and earlier if you want collectible. 67 if you want one year only collectible
