Hello, I think the best way to get everything done is to do as much research as you can online and begin the process with some information specific to your restoration. I looked into it, and this book comes highly recommended for doing Beetle restorations: http://www.amazon.com/How-Restore-Volkswagen-Beetle-Enthusiasts/dp/1903706904 I would recommend working on your car using a book similar to that one as a guide. Best of luck! CarGrrl
