Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My headlights on 69' VW BEETLE jump from low beams to high beams while I drive.  Doesn't always do this. It does it by itself when the lights are turned on and the car is running. Any suggestions ?

Check for shorts in the power lines. It's probably wires that are old and cracked or rubbed bare.
