pics on release bearing for 1970' bug

Asked by btterflikss26 Jun 23, 2008 at 02:32 PM about the 1970 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need a diagram on my 1970' bug to see how the release bearing is supposed to go on because the one I bought for the parts store looks nothing like the one on my car! And I was told that this one is the right one and I don't see how it is possible to fit on there. PLEASE HELP!!

Try thesomba.com they will likely be faster to get you a parts diagram that should be able to help you.

did you try it.they are makeing parts different today and some do look diffrent but are still the same.

Do you have a picture of the release bearing that is on you car. Not the one you bought cuz i think the one you bought is the same one i got. How does the inside of you tranny look. need to now if your having the same proble as iam.
