Has been repainted, engine reworked, good running condition, upholstery in fair condition, no air
condition.

Depends on your location. The price of these cars changes alot due to availability. Here in the mid west, i would say $3000 would be on the high side, probably around $2500. If in california, arizona then $2500 would be high, probably around $1800,$2000. With bugs the year effects price a bunch. A 72 is not a sought after year. Really anything 68 and up is not sought after.
