I'm interested in buying this beetle and I think its a good deal, I was wondering if someone could help me out and tell me wheather this is worth buying or not? Please help! Here is the post for it;

It is a 1972 VW Beetle. It needs very little rust repair, the paint job is still in okay shape and thats all I know. Is it worth taking a chance on the engine and everything for $1,400? Please help!

check the unibody for structural integrity, if it is just surface rust it shouldn't be a problem good luck..... if it runs ok you should be alright, is it safety inspected?

that right rear rust damage may be structural...and probably driving the owner to sell rather than repair. I would get it looked at by a pro body shop...preferrably specializing in VWs. Nice 72s on the web are going for several grand a pop...so you have to weigh the initial cost and PITA factor with the possible result.
