If I can want to obtain an automatic buggy, what model/year should I search/look at?

I only know how to drive automatic, what years/models (if any) were buggys/beetles made automatic?

Hi teenspirit! The common generation of Beetles that were produced in the late 60s never offered an "automatic" transmission per say. Beginning in 1968 VW offered an Automatic Stick Shift which automatically engaged the clutch when pressure was placed on the stick shift. You still would need to shift the car but you don't need to operate the clutch. Truly automatic transmissions were introduced in the more recent generation of Beetles introduced in 1968. That being said however, you should just buy a Beetle and learn how to drive a stick. Anyone can do it, it doesn't take long to learn and it's the only way to drive, especially with those old Beetles! Good luck!
