i have a 1984 vw rabbit. everytime i take a rihgt hand turn, my car cutts out. has anyone ever delt with this problem ? what can i do to fix it ?

i just bought this car. body is great, and no other problems except that when the fuel tank is filled it runs good, but after i use up around 3 gallons, whenever i take a right hand turn, going over 30 mi. an hr. the engine cutts out. what can i do to fix this bad problem ?

Sounds like a possible fuel pump issue, or perhaps a problem with the carburetor.

I had same problem five years ago. The fuel pump worked and pumped the gas very well when checked but the car still stalled. Found out later there are “ two” fuel pumps .. the second one is in the gas tank itself. I replaced it and the problem was solved.
