My Rx7 cranks but won't start.

Asked by DiabolicalOne Sep 04, 2013 at 11:31 PM about the 1987 Mazda RX-7

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Fuel pump is working , fuses are good. Starts when I put gas down the intake but stalls
as the gas runs out. So spark is not the issue. Could it be the crank sensor?? It's like the
injectors are not firing or something.

I'd check the fuel pressure and prepare to replace the fuel pressure regulator once it's found to be defective~

If you have spark, the crank sensor should not be the problem and as roy said check the fuel pressure regulator or if after tha reg. are gas delivery
