can i put a 1984 rx7 trans in my 1980 rx7

i just need to know if i can use either of the driveshafts or if i have to also use the rear axle as well. I also need to know
if everything will line up correctly

Is the motor you're getting the tranny from is off of a carb'd 12a then yes, it should bolt up, you may need a little bit of work, but it shouldn't be too hard. If the tranny came from a 13B then no, it can be done, but it won't be easy.
