You may have to match the numbers off of the engine blocks of the engine you are fixing and the one you want to replace it with. Also, consider contacting a dealer or junkyard for interchange information on the two blocks. This will save you time and headaches down the road.
any motor should work if its a ka24e, pretty sure stanza will work just have to use your tranny, intake, exhaust , etc, of your bad engine
The Stanza motor will not work... motor mounts are in the wrong spot, manifold setup is different, and accessories are in different spots. The truck motor has the same issue... gonna have to find a SOHC 240sx motor. Usually you can find either the SOHC or DOHC for well under $400 all day long.
Ditto with Steven, trying to get everything to fit would be a pain. I would just go and get the 240sx part instead of trying to frankenstein parts from other cars. Although the engine is the same, things are moved around to fit in different chassis, you can either hope to make it fit or be sure it fits by getting the same part. I assume you are wanting to use the stanza because it is locally available but it would save you some headache to get the part from an '89. Hope that helps.
