1986 300zx difference in bodies of Hatchback and Turbo?

Asked by Hays May 01, 2017 at 06:29 PM about the 1986 Nissan 300ZX

Question type: General

Hello all, been looking at some 1986 300zx's to maybe buy, is there any
difference in the body shape besides the small air vent near the driver seat on
the turbo? I can't see any difference. Thanks in advance

There were two body styles. The 2 seat cars and the 2+2 cars. Any other differences were due to small styling or trim changes from year to year. The basic body style ran from 1984 to 1989 but there were styling changes in 86 and 87.

F_O_R has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about. 87 has a completely different rear end, different hood headlights bumpers taillights wider arches. almost nothing body wise is interchangeable.
