check your battery ground wire to the engine. sounds like it isn't making a connection of course this is if you are connecting the ground of the jumper cables to the vehicle and not the battery post to jump it. BTW Jumping a vehicle that has low to no charge can burn up the internal regulator inside the alternator.

I checked it and put a new end on ground. Still same thing. This time instead of jumping it off I put batter charger on it and it fired right up after abt 8 hrs of charging. Left charger off over night tryed it this morning and it would turn over but wouldn’t crank!!?? Please help!

Follow the Ground wire from the battery to the engine block remove it and clean both the block and the wire end and reattach. You may have a weak cell in the battery as well. I would do a load test the day after it is charged and connected. I would also make sure there is no parasitic draw.

When it isn’t hooked to a battery charger or jumper cables the motor spins as if it’s going to crank but I don’t have any fire coming out on distributor to coil
lincolnscott49 answered 4 years ago
I believe the power to the distributor is controlled by the PCM or ECU from the cam sensor
Guru9DVHRG answered 4 years ago
If it was the ecu would it crank if I hook jumper cables to it or no?
lincolnscott49 answered 4 years ago
the cam sensor sends a signal to the ECU letting it know the engine is turning and the ECU sends power to the distributor and injectors

1986 nissian pickup 3.0 has hard time cranking when it is cold weather. After it cranks up one time it cranks up fine every time after that

OK sounds like cold start injector thermo time switch is bad or bad wire connection. Thats my best guess
