Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car will run fine for a bit then will
gradually get worse. Some times it
acts like it is starving for fuel but
smells rich. I starts to stumble at idle
and at times dies. Almost impossible
to start once this happens.

Check the cap and rotor it has twin center contacts, pick up unit failure is common and gets worse under warm conditions, when it dies check for spark. No spark is pick up in distributor, cap and rotor are common. I hate napz engines.

Also if you wanna have a really good set up toss the napz head and and put a 2.4 twin cam off a 200sx and use your intake and carb. Be sure to verify cooling ports in the head and block correspond.

Pull the codes. It sounds like the ECU is in limp mode. This thread goes into detail: www.infamousnissan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31527

Check your fuel pressure.put Guage on.start it. When it wants to die see if it maintains same pressure if not then there's your answer.
