86 D21 2wd. No lights, no electrical anything when starting

Do they come on after the engine has started? For anything electrical my first check is the fuse grid to see if it shorted. You can tell a good fuse from a bad one if the filament is still connected. if a fuse is blown look at the number on the face of it and you can pick up replacements at any auto shop and even some gas stations.
