No 5th gear or reverse

I have a 1987 nissan pickup truck  that no longer
has 5th gear or reverse and the other 4 gears are
little tough when shifting. When you try to go into
5th or reverse it doesn't catch or grind or anything
it's like if nothing is there. Do I just need a new
tranny or could it be the clutch or any help would
be greatly appreciated . Thank you so much

Hey did you figure this out? I have a 97 nissan pickup doing the same thing
