sounds like a lifter tick, next oil change put a bottle of lucus oil tretment in it,will free up a sticking lifter.if you just changed the oil-oil filter, drain out a qurt, put the lucus in it,drive it more than 2 miles.go on a 50 mile round trip, get it up to operating temp.
thanks papa that helps never heard of a lifter ticker but I will try anything I first thought the plug boot or i guess you call it a cover what we used to call it I do alot of my own work on my car my dad was a trucker and no boys just 4 girls
where do i get this lucus treatment I just looked on line in auto zone no lucus
any auto parts store carries it,even wal-mart.is like stp oil tretment, but this stuff works great, best product on the market.you can also get it in upper cylender cleaner, does the same job,you just pour it into a tank of gas.will clean the fuel system, fuel injectors, frees sticking lifters.a sticking lifter is a lifter that is not getting pumped up as it should,is mainley called lifter tapping,no big deal, just use the lucus.it will work for you.I use it in all my vehicles, including the 2 big rigs.
