Make sure you coolant is topped up, if it is it could be the blend door actuator or the linkage attached to it that's the problem

A broken Temperature Actuator shaft (Temperature Blend Door) could cause you to have NO HEAT.

Here’s how I fixed it... (on driver’s right leg kick panel). I used a two-part epoxy and a 1/2” aluminum (or copper) 40mm length of tubing with the broken shaft epoxied together and the metal tube should affect a long-term repair.

A little clearance on the blend doors cam actuator might be required to allow clearance for the slight additional thickness due to the metal sleeping.

Side note: to make it easy to reinstall the white plastic cam actuator, turn car on and put fan on high. It will put the blend door levers in the correct position to install the cam actuator. Install mode control actuator (top position) on first to hold Assy together while installing remaining bracket and actuator screws.

Bend door levers (controlled via (HVAC mode control switch & Heat switch) on center console.

I have a 05 cobalt LS 4 dr. Coolant was flushed twice. Topped off and bled. No air. I've taken off all the parts above and put them back together. I've replaced the resistor and blower fan unit. All fuses are good. All components switch as they should. Still no heat. And now that the blower motor was replaced the battery light comes on and stays on. Check engine light remains on. I'm a chevy guy and I have to say this was the worst choice in car I could have bought. Only owned this cobalt for 3 months and have a grocery list of other problems along with no heat. No need to reply because Ive already listed the car for parts sale. Will never buy another cobalt or recommend it to anyone. (blown head gasket, front end needs complete replacement, exhaust needs complete replacement along with the no heat issue. And no the fella who sold it did not disclose it was a salvage vehicle till after he had my cash. Only put 4k miles on it and all these problems surfaced) Worst car chevy built in my opinion!!!!
