rusted floor pans, front and rear, rust in trunk, look down both sides fro what lookes wavie, bad body work, take a magnet with you pick out random parts of the car see if it stickes to the metal, weare on front tires, wires hanging down from under dash, check under hood for oil on motor ,leaks at valve covers, crank it listen for knocks,go through the gears to feel if it goes into gear smooth or hard, this is just a few things.
