Flat tire or some other tire failure? A front suspension part broke? Or is it the engine that is shaking?

Someone (non- mechanic) told me that I through a rod. But I really don't believe that's the case.

Check lug nuts. Make sure they are tight. Check control arms and check tires.

Throwing a rod was a guess but I did not want to suggest that first. If your engine threw a rod then there will be a hole in the side of the engine or in the oil pan. You may have lost all the oil and your engine is now scrap metal.

Not to mention, if you threw a rod, the vehicle wouldn't start again. Help us out with some questions. Does the vehicle still run. Does it idle. Does it only shake when moving. Does it shake when not moving. It will help. You could also check engine mounts
