how many 63 grand prix had three on the tree

Hello rodent159-- My research show that one of the standard features on all of the 30,195 Pontiac Grand Prix's was a floor mounted shifter. The 2-barrel engines only came with an automatic transmission, but a 3-or-4 speed manual was available on the other engines. Good luck from Bovan.
The article is about 1962 GP's. The question is about 1963 GP's. The answer is about 1962 GP's. What gives???
The article is about 1962 GP's. The question is about 1963 GP's. The answer (as far as I can tell) is about 1962 GP's. What gives???? Incidently, the answer is correct. Standard on the GP's was a floor shifter. There were no GP,s with anything "on the tree", unless someone can prove a factory delete option.
the 63 GP came stock with a 3 speed manual tranny , 4 speed & roto hydra-matic were optional. the shifters were always on the floor even the automatics.
There was at least one '63 Grand Prix produced with a 3 on the tree. A coworker of my dad bought a '63 Grand Prix brand new with a 3 on the tree. It was white with black bucket seat interior with a factory tach in the left corner of the dash. He traded a '59 green & white Catalina 2 door hardtop also with a 3 on the tree. I actually was fortunate to drive the '63 Grand Prix when I was 16. I've liked Pontiacs ever since, having owned 3 '68 GTO's, a 73 Grand Prix, & a '99 Trans Am Firehawk.
