1967 Grand Prix Convertible bow distance from back trim

Asked by Jeff1967GP Jul 27, 2022 at 06:08 PM about the 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an upholsterer installing a new convertible top on my 1967 Grand Prix.
He wants to know the distance from the rear bow to rear trim where the snaps
are located for the boot to attach.  The closest I can find was a video on a GTO
top installation that said the distance is 20.5"  That seems too short for my car.
Anyone have any convertible top installation experience?

Visit the Pontiac Oakland Club's website. They might have the information you need. I looked through the "folding top" section of my 1967 Fisher Body Manual and found no specific measurements for that. Originally the top and "rear curtain" were two separate pieces though. Jim
