Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I went to make a left hand turn car just would
not drive. I ended up putting it into 2 nd gear and
was able to drive home. Checked transmission
levels it was low. I got transmission fluid put in and
it will drive in gears 1,2 but not the D gear. It does
reverse. What could be wrong?

limp mode , the electronics do this when a code is tripped to push you to the dealer to fix it your truck is a 2006 they are a lot worse than the older models , for fleecing the public , wait till later models get a few years older, they are loaded with tricks some will erase all the data in the pcm if it sits idle for a length of time
