Question type: General

I have three H-body Pontiacs: 1976 Astre Notchback, 1977 Astre Hatchback, 1978 Sunbird Safari Wagon. I have seen production numbers, but would like to have an idea of how many remain on the road today. Thanks.

9,655

In general that depends on their initial popularity, their appeal as a used car, the reliability and maintainability, whether there were and still are owners clubs and general nostalgia. Those are just a few of the factors that affect the numbers still on the road. The DMV can probably give you the number of registered vehicles, but that does not necessarily mean they are on the road.
