2007 Buick Lucerne remote not working...

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2007 Buick Lucerne and the remote stopped working. When the car turns off (about 5 minutes or so after leaving) the remote just stops working. Once i put the key in and open the door the car turns on and the remote has no problems at all. I've taken it to the dealer and they've reprogrammed the remote 3 times now but it still doesn't work after the car shuts off and they can't seem to figure out why. Has to be something in the car but noone seems to know why. This is a recent problem as the remote was working fine before.

Maybe a warning that remote battery is getting low.
They replaced the remote on the last reprogram with a new battery

This may work or not or you may have tried this already. Remove positive terminal from battery for about 5 - 10 seconds then reinstall. This will clear the computer on most vehicles. Like I said it may or may not work but its worth a try.
TAKE OUT FUSE UNDER SEAT FOR REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK,I THINK ITS FUSE 35, WAIT 5 SECONDS THEN REINSTALL- THATS GMS ANSWER TILL THEY COME UP WITH REPROGRAM.

I had this issue, and removed the terminal from the receiver in the trunk under the rear shelf, then reinstalled it. It started working correctly again immediately. I assume the connection may have built up some corrosion over time and removing/reinstalling it made the connection good again. Anyway, that was three years ago, and still working perfectly. I hope this helps.
