Locked Out Of My Glove Box

My glovebox mysteriously locked and I have no key for it. The only way to lock or unlock it
is with a key, however, I put something inside it, then, like 2 seconds later, its locked. I
don't have the key so what the hell am I supposed to do?..  its a grand prix 2007

Your ignition key should unlock it. If not you need to have a key made for it by a dealer based on the vin. A locksmith could also unlock it but it may lock itself again in the future.

there is a special tool locksmiths use to feel the factory grooves on the tumbler plate to pick it. I used a street sweeper brush bristle and it took about 15 minutes
