transmission slipping

HELP A SISTA OUT!!! Every time I get in to drive my 2007 grand prix, it has a hard time catching 1st gear. After that I have no problem. It's very scary! Just wanting to know if I need a new transmission or if something else would fix the problem. Thanks in advance!

If the fluid is up to its proper level and it still does that, have it checked out by a transmission shop. Transmission problems rarely heal themselves, but if you catch them early on you can sometimes prevent a full failure and a huge bill and / or a new car.
