2005 Chevrolet Classic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car all of a sudden won’t start. The engine turns
over and it fires but it dies right back out as if it
weren’t getting any fuel. My security light has
always been on for as long as I have had the car.
The fuel gauge and temp gauge won’t work and the
radio won’t turn on. The power locks don’t work
and the button to open the trunk won’t work. I have
checked every fuse in the car and they are all fine.
Everything used to work perfect in the car but now
it’s like it has a mind of its own. I’ve read other
people’s problems with the same car and my car
has the common problem of when it rains my floor
board floods from rain coming in through the blower
motor intake duct.

I’ve checked every plug I could get to for corrosion, and for any other sign of moisture. Everything looked good. Guess I’m gonna try the BCM and see what it does. Is there a way to bypass the security system that you know of?

you can bypass the security system by leaving the key in the ignition one click before starting the whole car up for about 9 to 10 minutes....my auto starter sets off my security system
