Question type: General

When the fuel range indicator shows range low...how many miles do you have.  Before the indicator stated this it said 48 miles.  Is this dependable.

well if you are on the gas non stop then that 48mile range goes away like rich said, it has to do with capacity

bad o2 sensor, mass airflow sensor malfunctioning, faulty fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, dirty air filter. clean the throttle body, add a fuel injection cleaner, clean the MAF, add a fuel filter just to name a few...could be bad plugs also. one more thing to check...make sure brake caliper isn't sticking and make sure fuel cap is sealing correctly. all these things will cause poor gas mileage. I would also check purge valve, fuel pressure regulator, and make sure there's no leaks around fuel rail or under the car (fuel lines). just make sure to check everything over thoroughly.
