07 cts brake lights

I have a 07 cts and the brake lights aren't working.
However when the car is on and I unplug the brake
switch and plug it back in the brake lights work
perfectly. However, when I turn the car off and back
on the brake lights no longer work. What could be
causing this?

Im having the same problem with my 2004 CTS, new bulbs, fuses, etc... What and where is this switch plunger??
