you will have to take it to a hyundai dealer to get it reprogramed and make sure you take all of your remotes as all of them need to be programed at the same time.

Try pressing the unlock and lock at the same time.......worked for me

That worked for me. Just turn the car to ACC, hold down both buttons for a few secs, get out and try it

I have a Hyundai 2003 Tiburon, and the following worked for me, get in your car, and turn the key to ACC, then with your keyless remote pressdown both of the keys for about 3 seconds, you should hear a click in the car. Get out of your car, and try to lock or unlock it. Dont waste your money and time at a dealership

I have a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon and I performed the following to reprogram my remote: turned ignition to ACC, then pressed the unlock button until the blinkers click. After that it worked. No need to go to the dealer.

I have a 2004 Tiburon & for a battery replacement of your original remote, the ingnition ACC and pressing the unlock button works. However for a replacement keyless remote fob, you will have to go to the dealer for programming as there are no "codes" or programming instructions available; only a dealer can program a new/replacement fob. And no, they don't do it for free (ranges from $30-$50 in my experience), and no, replacement fobs are not $5 on ebay, more like $50.

Wasn't sure this would work but to my surprise it did. So thanks to the person that put this out here. I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon and really didn't want to spend the money to have the fob re-programed. Went through this on a fob with my other car. Again Thanks.

Reprogrammed my grandson's 2007 Tiburon by turning the ignition switch to ACC and held the lock button down for about 5 seconds.

Simple fix. Works for all remotes. The unlock code is inside the case. There should be a plastic cover over the chip, you should notice a slash with a number on the plastic when placed over the chip it should indicate which buttons to press. For example: the # above the slash is 6 then the plastic # with backslash is 5 and the # below the slash is 5. You would press both those buttons together 5 times and the top one once.

Worked for my 2005 Dodge Ram slt 1500. Had to turn the key to the "on" position though, held both lock and unlock for about 10 seconds. Turned key off and then waited about 20 seconds to exit program mode, and hit the unlock button on my automate am9 key fob and the doors unlocked!

Set my keys on top of my cell phone briefly and it caused my key fob for my Tiburon to lose it's memory. Dreading a visit to the dealer I decided to check the internet....and here I am. It worked so I saved $70 and a wait at the dealer....Thanks so much for the advice.

i have a 2003 hyundai tiburon, i replaced old battery with used, as soon as i connect the cables, the horn goes off non stop, i tried to turn the key and the car turns over, but it wont start. It will keep turning over and over, so i disconnected the horn, and it still wont start, it will just turn over, like its out of gas but theres gas. Could it be cause it was locked with the keyless entry? Cause i used key to open door. But i dont know how to reset the system with the keyless entry....need help please???

Here's what works in my 2006 Tib: Get in the car, close the doors. Insert the key in the ignition. Turn it all the way on (without starting), and then back to the ACC position. Press and hold the unlock button on the remote until the signal indicators flash (about 2 seconds). Voila! The remote works again.
