Battery is dead after I installed a new stereo

I have a 2005 Chevy malibu and I put in a new
stereo and amp but now my battery is dead and
the dash lights are staying on.

better check the wires which were tapped to make it work , you are pulling constant power from somewhere. Battery is being drained from constant or a short
