Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu and the theft system
keep blocking my car from starting. And I have to
wait over 10 mins to try and start it. Is there any
way to bypass the theft system completely to stop
it from doing this

It sounds like you have a problem with the VATS system, you can repair the module. You can get rid of VATS, but ai don't recommend it-- you'll need HPtuners-- with HPtuners you can turn off the VATS system.
Is that something expensive to do? Are there any other methods to try to bypas this
HPtuners? About 300 for a used unit. Otherwise you may have to get a new ECU (read this a used or new) and have it programmed by the dealer--
Okay thanks for the info..... I will have find another way to get reset quickly. Than me waiting over 10 mins to get it to start
Any luck - I have the same problem
