Is there a way for me to let you guys know about a stolen vintage car?
Hi-- My vintage 1961 silver 2door Porsche convertible was stolen from LA this week, and I
just wanted to put the word out just in case it comes up or some parts start rotating. Let
me know if I can send you more information, I would really appreciate keeping a look out!
Thanks! - Katie (kpyne@usc.edu)

That sucks my purse got stollen right out my Range Rover a few weeks ago. Stepped away from the truck for 5 minutes and my doors didn't lock right. I.m sorry to hear about your lost. Good luck on its recovery.
Looks like you may have been targeted by someone looking for parts for this very rare automobile. There were only 30,000 of these originally manufactured and probably only a fraction of those are still on the roads. Hopefully, the local law enforcement can try to locate it by VIN# and physical description before it gets dismantled at a chop shop. Also, probably not much any one here on the Car Gurus Q&A Forum can do to help. Perhaps you can try to find a vintage Porsche online forum and put out the word there to folks who live on the West Coast! Sorry to hear this happened! Hope you can recover the car!
I would take some pics and go around to some of the porsche specialist in LA and see if they have seen the car. Heres a link to a guy looking for older porsches he / she may have seen parts or even the car or might know something : http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/4807877145.html
Also try searching craigslist for youe surounding area and put a heads up stolen car post over in Pelican Parts in the Porsche cars for sale listings with pics and all info that could turn up some leads. Good Luck
That is awful, sorry to hear about it. Try putting this same post on the early 356 registry as well.
