The battey ligh on my 944 stays on all the time. Also, I have to disconnect the battery after driving the car so it wii start the next time. If not, I have to keep a charge to the battery. I've tested the alternator & it's good. Please help!!!!

Have you done a load test with the car off? I think it is supposed to be below 200ma load on the battery with the car not running. If it is higher then sounds like you have a short somewhere. To find you have a short, pull the fuses one by one until you see a large drop in the amperage coming off the battery. How old is the battery? Also, have you cleaned your grounds? The 944 is known for ground issues.
