Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the car was driving fine, it would turn over and act like it was going to start but wouldn't stay cranked.  It is a safety feature?  what do I need to check?

The starter turning over slowly would indicate a problem with the starter, or a low battery. If this is not the case try spraying some starting fluid into the throttle body to see if the engine fires off. If it does, then there is a fuel pressure issue.
