Does anyone know what type of car this is? .

Asked by Matt Sep 04, 2017 at 12:28 PM about the 1987 Pontiac Fiero

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Its a two seater. Tag trace comes back to a 87
Fiero. Maybe a kit car on a Fiero frame? Steel front
bumper is odd for a kit unless its custom.  Aside
from the grill that bumper looks like a rear bumper
to me.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimmer_(automobile) ^ Check that link out. It is a Zimmer Quicksilver; indeed, a kit car with a Fiero as the base.

Actually, it's a factory conversion... If it was a kit car, I could find the parts to make another, There were only some 170-180 made, over a period of several years. Zimmer did a Mustang based model, too.

Car is a limited Production Zimmer. Both the front and fear Bumpers were custom made in Mexico and as far a I can find out there are NO spares if you get hit.. Parts are next to imposable to find(at least on line. But they were based on Fiero V6 automatic platform cars. They were very plush, to say the least.
