I have a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 I bought the truck from a guy about 5 months ago and when I bought it, it showed that there were 0 miles on the truck on the cluster.

no the whole cluster is one piece you will have to take the drives side off the dash out make sure you unplug the driver side airbag so it doesn't deploy and youll have to fix that to

So what was his excuse that it didn't work? Is it the original that came with the truck? If not he's required to tell you he switched it. It illegal to sell a vehicle without disclosing that. I mean how do you know how much to pay without knowing the mileage
